Alan Gould is Director of the Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) Planetarium, Director of the Global Systems Science project, and Co-Director of the Hands-On Universe (HOU) project at LHS, University of California at Berkeley. He authored curriculum books for these projects as well as Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS). He has 28 years of experience developing and presenting hands-on science activities and teacher education workshops. He served as president of the Pacific Planetarium Association from 1989-1992 and currently serves as PPA President. He is a Fellow of the International Planetarium Society (IPS) and is Chair of the IPS Worldwide Web Committee. See also http://www.lawrencehallofscience.org/sii/.
